Chemical peels & microneedling

Well look no further, here at Teddy Grace we have the tools to rejuvenate your skin. We can offer microneedling and chemical peels to bring your dull skin back to life.

Microneedling is a treatment that uses small needles that prick tiny holes in the skin. This minor trauma to the skin kick starts the generation of new collagen which helps repair the skin and generating new skin cells. Collagen helps the strengthen the skin as well as provide the skin with hydration. As we age, we produced less collagen (unfair), in turn leading the skin to become dull looking. With this treatment it will encourage the collagen in the skin making this skin elasticated and refreshed. Another reason people choose microneedling is to help fade dark marks/hyperpigmentation or scaring on the skin.

Our skin specialist also offers chemical peels, these are used to treat dark marks, wrinkles, and often mild scars. A chemical peel is a facial treatment, a chemical exoliant is applied to the skin, which helps remove the dead skin cells on the top layer of your face. When the skin starts to repair, it will come smooth and soft! Now that’s exciting. 

The recovery time for both treatments is minimal. You can go back to work straight after (but we won’t tell your boss if you don’t). Be prepared and expect some redness after both treatments.

Aftercare Microneedle – 

We want to make sure you care for your skin after the treatment.

Here are some tips of things to avoid for at least 24 hours – 

• Sun exposure 
• Products with acids and retinol
• Make up for 24 hours (if this is a must, please use a light layer and remember to wash it off before you go to bed!!! )

Here are some tips to help your skin heal –

• Drink water

• Using a cooling mask

• Change your bed sheets and pillows the day of your treatment

Aftercare Chemical peel-

Things to avoid for at least 24 – 

• Sun exposure
• Heat e.g hot tubs  and saunas

Things you can do- 

• You will be happy to know you can apply make up straight after treatment (double check with your skin specialist when you are having your treatment)
• Wash your face with cool and warm water
• Moisturise
